Ring in a new paddle season in good company!
Calling all Elements Adventures river course and river trip alumni! Dust off your paddles, polish your canoes, a new season is upon us, and we want to warm up our shoulders and prepare for another fantastic season.
When/Where
This annual event will take place on the first Sunday in April. It is a whole day event (8:30am- 5pm) on a section of the Middle Shuswap River in the North Okanagan – staging in Lumby BC. Exact meeting spot will be announced to registrants in the week prior to the event.
Who
This free event is intended for alumni of the Elements paddling school. If you haven’t taken a river canoe course with us, get in touch with us to register for one so you can come paddle with us next year! If you would like to bring along a friend who has not participated in our programs, please contact us.
Equipment & Rentals
We have equipment available to rent for the day if you do not have your own. See rental information and pricing here. The water will be cold and you must bring a drysuit or an excellent wetsuit.
Please dress for the water temperature (which will be very cold), regardless of the air temperature forecasted for the day. Gloves for the day are a must – if you do not have paddling gloves, a pair of dish gloves does surprisingly well to keep you warm. You can find a full packing list HERE.
Transportation
Carpooling may be possible for some people from the meet up spots for each group. Get in touch with us if you would like to carpool to Lumby. We will organize the river shuttle at the start of the day, and by the end of the day, hopefully everyone will have made new paddling buddies to help their future shuttles!

We want to remind you that early April has the potential to be pretty chilly. It has even snowed on one occasion. We are not trying deter you (we truly would love to have you along!) but we kindly ask that if you sign up for this free event, that you make the effort to show up or contact us early to cancel if the forecast deters you.
