lakewater Leader Course

The Lakewater Leader Course is sanctioned by the Recreational Canoe Association of BC, and intended for teachers, scout leaders, youth-group leaders, camp staff, club trip leaders and recreational paddlers who intend to lead groups on day excursions on lakes and sheltered ocean environments.

This training provides the necessary skills and knowledge that most schools need to meet their certification requirements for leading brief, introductory canoe sessions or activities.

Leaders conducting in-depth skills training and overnight trips will find our Lakewater Instructor courseΒ more appropriate.

What Others Say

I took a paddling course with Charles in October of 2022. He is a wonderful teacher with a fun sense of humour. The paddling technique and safety feedback he gave each paddler in the course was concise, specific, and encouraging. He has a keen eye for detail, a kind way of communicating, and puts in the additional effort to guide each learner towards their personal goals. I would definetly recommend Charles and his company.
